Memory Care

Unparalleled care. A uniquely fulfilling lifestyle.

The Seneca

The Seneca’s 30 private and semi-private suites on our secure Memory Care floor are designed to be both refined and familiar, providing the luxuries of a boutique apartment community with the comforts of home. Even favorite snacks are always on hand, thanks to our Pantry Program. Offering open kitchens with family-style seating, expansive common areas and living rooms, as well as advanced technology for safety and convenience, this is a place for more than everyday enjoyment—because here, the amenities and benefits go well beyond the everyday.

Memory Care residences

The experience begins with our “Nayas,” who are named after the ancient Sanskrit word for “guide” or “person of wisdom.” With a profound understanding of our Memory Care approach, our Nayas have a deep connection with each Memory Care resident and are passionate about creating a loving, nurturing environment.

Special Memory Care programs include:

  • Pantry Program This is a personal space for residents to store their favorite snacks and comfort foods. It’s also available as a storage spot for familiar items such as photographs, magazines, or anything that brings them joy and rekindles a memory.
  • EngageVR Virtual Reality Available to all residents, the virtual reality programs especially brighten the lives of residents with dementia, offering a way to “transport” them, virtually, to an exciting destination, such as the wreck of the Titanic, or an African safari. It also enables them to connect with people and environments across the globe and can help strengthen memory and mind.
  • Quake Global member response system This wearable technology can help aid in fall prevention, security, sensor-based accessibility, and more, as new developments are currently underway.
  • Gourmet Bites Cuisine A program that enables residents to enjoy fine dining.
  • Watermark University Our award-winning educational enrichment program includes special offerings for residents in Memory Care.
  • Circadian Lighting This is a healthy way to illuminate community spaces. It can also improve air quality, help regulate the body’s sleep-wake cycle, enhance quality of sleep, and boost immunity, to promote overall well-being.
